May I use cash or check instead of a debit or credit card for the deposit?
No, Bunce Rental requires a debit or credit card on almost all deposits. You may pay cash when you return the item. The deposit charged on the credit or debit card will then be credited back to the card or the check returned to you.
May I use a debit card for the deposit?
Yes, you may use a debit card. However, please be aware that any credits made to a debit card account take 8-10 business days to show up. This is per the bank's policies, not Bunce Rental's.
May I use a prepaid credit card for the deposit?
For insurance and security purposes, Bunce Rental does not allow the use of prepaid credit cards for deposits.
I see a charge to my credit or debit card on my bank statement or online. But why hasn't the credit for money going back to card shown up?

Banks take 3-4 business days for money to be credited back to the credit card and takes 8-10 business for money to be credited back to a debit card. If money was returned after the statement cut off date it will not show until the next statement.

Can I pre-pay the rental deposit over the phone?
For identification purposes, Bunce Rental will only allow for deposits to be pre-paid over the phone if the customer is already listed in our system as a previous customer or on rentals requiring delivery. If you have not rented from us before, you will have to come into one of our stores to pay the deposit ahead of time.
Why can't I use my vehicle to tow certain pieces of equipment?
Our insurance company has a set of requirements the customer's vehicle must meet in order to tow our trailers and equipment. See towing requirements for more information.
How do you charge on rentals where the store is closed the following day?
Rental rates are charged based on the amount of time the equipment is out, not time used. Equipment before 2 PM on Saturdays and returned on Monday will be charged two days. Equipment picked up after 2 PM on Saturday and returned Monday by 9 AM will be charged at a rate of 1 day.
Can I request that Bunce Rental drop off equipment being delivered with no one at the job site?
For insurance and security purposes, the customer or authorized must be present when our driver delivers equipment and sign for it. Bunce Rental will not leave the equipment at the job site if no one is around to sign for it.
Can I send someone other than myself to pick up an item for rent or sign for the delivery of equipment?
Yes, but only under certain conditions. Your authorized agent must 21 years-of-age or older per our insurance companies policies. If you have not arranged for prepayment of the deposit prior to the rental, your authorized agent must use their own personal credit or debit card to hold the deposit.
How am I charged for equipment I pick up at a time that is less than the minimum time before the store closes?
In order to qualify to be charged a three or four hour overnight rate, you must pick up the equipment during the last hour of business and return it during the first hour of business the following day.
